The IAOS (Internal Audit Online System) module is designed to support internal audit activities within ministries, departments, and implementing agencies. Its key objectives are to improve financial monitoring and internal controls, carry out risk-based audits, increase transparency and accountability, digitally track audit observations,complianceand ensure that government funds are used properly.
It is primarily used by Internal Audit Wings of ministries and departments, and Pay & Accounts Offices, as well as implementing agencies connected with GIFMIS. The key benefits of the module include reduction of manual audit processes, real-time access to data, improved follow-up on audit findings, and standardized audit reporting across departments.
The module provides several key functions including preparing audit plans, recording financial and procedural audit observations, creating and approving entry conferences, memos, audit paras, Audit reports, monitoring compliance, processing and approving para settlements, generating dashboards and MIS reports.
